Get ready for Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events: The Series

November 6th, 2014 by Marc Comments

As a fan of the original books, the movie of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events was a lot of fun but disappointing that the story was never picked up for sequels. But now it looks like the story will be completed onscreen. Well, the small screen anyway.

It seems that Lemony Snicket – real name Daniel Handler – will see his successful book series picked up by Netflix.

The books spanned 13 altogether – appropriately enough – so the series could potentially run a while.

Cindy Holland, VP Original Content at Netflix said: “On the search for fantastic material that appeals to both parents and kids, the first stop for generations of readers is ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events. The world created by Lemony Snicket is unique, darkly funny and relatable. We can’t wait to bring it to life for Netflix members.”

Well, we’ll be watching this develop with great interest…
