Gotham gets a shorter, but epic sounding, season 5

May 14th, 2018 by Marc Comments

When Lethal Weapon got renewed last night (albeit without Martin Riggs) the fear was that Gotham was on the scrapheap as many believed that it was one or the other getting renewed on FOX.

However, while it’s not the best news (Gotham is knocking it out of the park this last couple of seasons, comic book fans), Gotham IS coming back in a shorter, thirteen episode long Season 5.

Which, while not the best news, does mean that the producers will get a change to bring the series to a satisfying finale. Which sure must mean that Bruce will put on the mask and cape right? Right? Anyone?

Well, according to Variety: “The final season will focus on Bruce Wayne’s transformation into the caped crusader.”

FOX said: “The fifth and final season will wrap up this unique origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, which revealed an entirely new chapter that has never been told.”

Works for us.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
