A new report has it that Jodie Whittaker’s TARDIS travelling time lord will be facing off against one of his, em, her most fearsome foes in the show’s next series.
Yes, the Cybermen are back… let’s hope they’re better than the return of the Daleks on New Year’s Day, right?
In the series, the Doctor will reportedly face-off against them in the 19th Century.
In the episode, the Cybermen will appear in and episode based around Frankenstein author Mary Shelley and will reportedly be the inspiration behind her writing that classic gothic horror.
“This new run is much scarier than Jodie’s first year and will definitely put the frighteners on fans. Things are about to get darker for the Doctor,” runs the report.
In the non-official Doctor Who canon of the Big Finish adventures, Shelly has already met The Doctor played by Paul McGann. I wouldn’t expect this to be part of this new outing.
