Great news! Umbrella Academy has reportedly been renewed by Netflix for a second season.
The show, based on a graphic novel by former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, is a massive hit for Netflix and a great series to boot – I’m seven episodes in and hooked!
The series follows a ‘family’ of kids who were mysteriously born on the same day and exhibit unique super powers who have to fight time travellers and fate to save the world from an unknown apocalypse.
Season one Starred Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, David Castañeda, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton, and Mary J. Blige and we’d expect a reunion come season 2
Season 2 will begin filming at the end of 2019 in Toronto, with Peter Hoar signed on to direct the first episode. Hoar directed the pilot for the series, as well as episode 10 of season one.
