Despite this and this setting up the Green Lantern story in the world of The CW’s Arrow-verse,  executive producer Wendy Mericle has stated that the Green Lanterns will not be a part of these shows.

Awwww… 🙁

Mericle said that despite Coast City being there, Ferris Air, the name Jordan and actress Carly Pope playing Susan Williams (all BIG parts of Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern origins in the comics) don’t expect to see the Green Lantern Corp appearing: “One of the fun parts of the show is that you can put these characters in and the Easter eggs and the fans that know this universe so well respond to it on varying levels of excitement and whatnot, but the thing about her character that’s so intriguing is that it operates on that level. It also operates because she’s someone who’s very intrigued by Oliver, who’s going to uncover some secrets that Oliver has, which is going to be really fun, and is a fun nod to the Green Lantern, who obviously we could never bring on the show.”

However, when it was pointed out that when Arrow kicked off the mere thought of Flash, Legends, Supergirl, time travel, aliens and all that good stuff was the furthest thing from anyone’s mind and yet here we are:  “This is 100% true,” she teased, “I mean, really Season 6 and on, all bets are off, right?”

So not this season but next? Well, who knows…

Would you like to see Jordan and the Corp in the The CW world?
