Woah! Remember a while ago we said that Kevin Bacon really wanted to come back to do another Tremors movie? Well, he’s coming back as Valentine McKee once more… but not in a moviem but in a TV series!
Yes, it seems there’s a TV series in the works with Bacon back in the lead role and as exec producer too.
That’ll do for us.
But there’s more… Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse Productions are developing the series which will be a sequel to the original movie (and presumably the four sequels) but no word if the 1993 TV series is still canon.
The Secret Circle’s Andrew Miller is the current favour to write the new series.
There’s no word on where the series will find its home, but the reports are that, in the current climate, many are interested although Syfy is a possibility we’re hearing.
This could be something very special as Tremors lives in that very special place in our hearts where Ghostbusters, Evil Dead III and Big Trouble in Little China also hang out.
UPDATED:
Looks like Kevin Bacon just confirmed the story on Twitter
