So, I’ve just returned to rainy ‘ol Ireland after a lovely break in Disneyland Paris where it was sunny and warm and I’m feeling a little down…
Then I get this story to write. Which picked me up no end.
It seems that the people behind Arrow are still hoping to #SaveConstantine after all!
With Arrow and Flash still delivering the goods and Legends of Tomorrow coming, it looks like the CW and DC are determined to make their TV universe a massive and varied thing.
Arrow Executive producer Wendy Mericle has said that Matt Ryan’s Constantine is still very much on their mind: “Yeah, we really want to do it. It’s something we’ve been talking to DC about and it’s just a question of some political things, but also the actor’s schedule. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s going to happen.”
Then, the clinker, she added: “But we’re really optimistic and we would love to have him.”
Well our thoughts on this team-up are no secret after Arrow himself Stephen Amell said the plan was to take Constantine into the series as an expert on the Lazarus Pit… whatever the capacity, we love that it may still be possible to make this happen.
