If, like us here are FTN HQ, you’re looking forward to The Penguin series later this month and then The Batman II in a couple of years, then we might have some good news for you.

The Penguin executive producers Matt Reeves and Dylan Clark at a press roundtable for the upcoming HBO series, during which Clark revealed that another spin-off series in The Batman Epic Crime Saga is in development.

Talking about how it’s important for The Batman movie and The Penguin series to feel like one big world, Clark said: “That was important to us, that visually it looked like – we had to match that part of it. And that’s the fun of having made the movie and being the producers of the television series, how those worlds connect so that they feel like a nice handoff. That part of it is fun.”

Going on, talking about Sofia Falcone, played by Cristin Milioti, the next big player in Gotham City, and her story in The Penguin, Clark adds: “Her ideas and the story elements that relate to her, those are all new ideas for her and have nothing to do with the other series that we’re continuing to do.”

Sorry, other series? When probed about story ideas, The Direct suggests a Harvey Dent legal series, to which Clark replied that they were “thinking certainly in the way that our conversations have gone.”

A Harvey Dent, pre-Two-Face, series would be a great way to establish the character in the new world of this Batman before tearing his life apart and making him one of Batman’s most tragic villains.

That said, Gotham is such a big world in itself, it feels like there’s a thousand villains waiting to be pulled on to our screens.

Thoughts on another Batman-related series? Would a Harvey Dent series be something you’d want to see?

Let me know your thoughts, gang…
