OK, so last night it seemed the Twin Peaks sequel series was suddenly dead in the water.

Then it wasn’t dead but Twin Peaks’ genius mind and co-creator David Lynch was no longer involved (here).

Well, now it seems that Showtime are trying to resolve their issues with Lynch and are keen to get him back in the statement they’ve released:

“We were saddened to read David Lynch’s statement today since we believed we were working towards solutions with David and his reps on the few remaining deal points. SHOWTIME also loves the world of Twin Peaks and we continue to hold out hope that we can bring it back in all its glory with both of its extraordinary creators, David Lynch and Mark Frost, at its helm.”

So there you have it, this is getting as confusing as Twin Peaks itself, but whatever happens, we hope Lynch is involved.

We’ll keep you all posted.
