With everyone getting giddy for Season 5 of  Game of Thrones, only weeks away, we get an interesting little tidbit about the first episode… and someone is going to die!

We’re not sure we can deal with more death on GoT, we kinda like all the remaining characters. Anyway, EW reports on the first episode: “Hmm, should I tell you that we’re going to see the dragons at their scariest in the season premiere? Or that the show is flashing back to see Cersei as a snotty little kid? What if I instead tease that the season-opener includes a horrible death for one familiar character? You good? Great.”

So, the dragons will be their scariest? Well, that makes sense as they’re bigger now and we got a taste of their rage last season when even Daenerys was afraid of them; a young Cersei? Ok, we’ve a good idea that this season will focus even more on her, given the events at the very end of last year… but the death?! Oh, God, the horror; we mean, it would be ok if Joffrey was still around to kill again, but we’re already feeling uneasy…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
