Stargirl cast member ‘excited’ to be part of the Arrowverse

August 3rd, 2020 by Marc Comments

We reported a few weeks back that Stargirl is set to join The CW’s Arrowverse next season (here) although, while she stays on her own earth with it being unlikely she’ll be meeting Flash, Supergirl and rest anytime soon.

Now we have more details on what the character’s future is related to the Arrowverse.

Fans of The CW’s shows will recall that, at the end of las year’s Crisis on Infinite Earths, the previous Earth-2 was replaced by Stargirl’s world, which is now Earth-2 next to Earth Prime, where Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, Black Lightning and the rest dwell, so since she’s officially out there, it seems only a matter of time until the worlds collide.

However, it seems that all good things come to those who wait. But wait, we must.

Neil Jackson, who plays leader of the Injustice Society,  Icicle, in the show has been talking about meeting all the other heroes and believes it’s just not on the cards yet: “I think Stargirl exists within its own entity, tonally, stylistically, and also budget-wise. We’re a different show, entirely, to the other stuff that has existed in the Arrowverse. I’m very excited to be a part of the Arrowverse and link in and out, as need be, and greater brains than mine will figure out how to do that.”

So, it’s clear that he – and presumably the rest of the cast and crew –  are aware of their standing in the Arrowverse, but are alos aware of how, because they started out as a DC Universe show, the union isn’t immediately forthcoming.

I think that, like Black Lightning and Supergirl, Stargirl would be wise to stay its own course, building its own mythology and world before jumping into the Arrowverse and then, when she does meet the rest of the heroes, it will be all the sweeter.

What say you all? Have you been following Stargirl? Do you think she would belong in the Arrowverse? Let me know…
