The Doom Patrol TV series just cast its Cyborg…

August 10th, 2018 by Marc Comments

Ok, we thought there was news a while ago that the DC Universe’s Doom Patrol TV series wouldn’t have Cyborg… but here we are.

Actually, scratch that, we worked out he’d be in it here!

It seems that the series will indeed have Cyborg in it and he’ll be played by British actor Jovian Wade who was recently seen in The First Purge – and EastEnders for all the UK readers.

In the series, Victor Sone AKA Cyborg is described as: “the charming and sarcastic half-human, half-machine superhero known as Cyborg. Vic may be connected to every computer on the world, but he struggles to maintain the connections that make him human. Desperate to gain acceptance from the outside world, Vic harnesses the curse of his cybernetic body and uses his powers as the ultimate hero for the digital age.”

So he’s full on Cyborg which means that the DC universe has Cyborg in the DC Movies, Cyborg in the Teen Titans GO movie and Cyborg in Doom Patrol. We hope this doesn’t get too confusing.

Wade joins Orange Is the New Black star Diane Guerrero who will play as Crazy Jane a character with  64 different personas, each with a unique superpower.

We can’t wait to see all the new DC Shows on DC Universe or what they do with Cyborg…

DOOM PATROL is a re-imagining of one of DC’s most beloved group of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The Doom Patrol’s members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities — but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence — and to protect Earth from what they find. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TITANS, DOOM PATROL will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
