Well, we didn’t expect this, but… here we are.
The Netflix/Channel 4 series The End of the Fxxxing World has just got a second season. And it’s not that the show isn’t that good, it’s actually pretty good, but because the end of the first season was pretty definite and was based around the ending of the Charles Forsman on which it was based.
But, that said, with the TV show creator Charlie Covell onboard for season two and the cast expected to return, primarily Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden as the show’s leads, we’ll definitely be back on board for it.
The show’s official Twitter announced this return (below) last night.
Based on the award-winning graphic novel, adapted by acclaimed newcomer Charlie Covell, the eight episode first season follows James (Alex Lawther, “Black Mirror”) and Alyssa (Jessica Barden, “Penny Dreadful”) – a self-proclaimed psychopath and a foul-mouthed rebel fed-up with her boring life. The two embark on a roadtrip to find a better life, and escape the impending doom of adulthood. As their chaotic journey unfolds, it becomes apparent that James and Alyssa have crossed a line and have no choice but to take it as far as they can…
