Cary Elwes and Jake Busey announced for Stranger Things season 3

The Duffer Brothers have already been leaking out some details about series 3 of Stranger Things.

Yep, just when you thought that Winona Ryder and Sean Astin weren’t retro enough, Netflix have announced two more actors for the next series. There’s no way to frame this: it’s Cary Elwes and Jake Busey.

Elwes will be playing Mayor Kline, a handsome, slick, and sleazy 80s local politician. And by that, we mean that he’s more concerned with his image than the people of Hawkins, Indiana. Busey will be playing a character currently just named Bruce, a journalist for the The Hawkins Post with a sick sense of humour and some dubious ethics.

So yeah, Westley and Private Ace Levy are retro-ing it up in Hawkins. I’m just waiting for the announcement of David Hasselhoff, Kurt Russel and Molly Ringwald to complete the set…

The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
