The creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, has said in the past that if he could he would redo the end of Season One, where the team made it to the CDC (Centre for Disease Control) where they met Noah Emmerich’s character Edwin Jenner – the man who revealed to Rick that everyone is infected. And now it looks like he may get his chance.

THR asked Emmerich recently if he would be interested in returning for the prequel series given that the two shows will reportedly be linked: “Sure, I think he’s a fascinating character.

“There’s definitely a lot more to find out about Dr Jenner. I have no idea, I haven’t talked with them about anything. I don’t know [if he could come back]. I have no idea, but it’s an interesting question.”

He goes on: “There’s a lot more there for that character, he was a fascinating character and we only got a little taste of him. It would be really interesting to see what more was there. It’s really intriguing.”

what do you guys think? Is he playing coy or has he genuinely not been approached? He’s been rumoured to be part of the series for a while – it would make sense – but we’ll have to wait and see if they go that way.

Finally, The Walking Dead returns on February 8th and AMC have released a new teaser for it called Another Day’
