WATCH: Full trailer drops for Stranger Things season 4 and it looks like it’s going to be scary

We finally have the full trailer for Stranger Things Season 4 and it looks like this season could be the scariest yet as we get our first look at Freddie Kruger himself, Robert Englund as well as this season’s big bad… which could be the same thing?

Creators the Duffer brothers have recently revealed that this is their longest season yet, with every episode clocking in at over an hour and that the show will come to an end in its fifth season.

“With nine scripts, over eight-hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one,” they said.

“It’s also the beginning of the end.

“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling towards our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.”

We’re big fans of Stranger Things at the FTN family home, so we’re excited for this… but we’re also glad there’s a planned end in sight.

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

It’s time. See you on the other side. Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 premieres May 27th, only on Netflix.
