While everyone at FTN HQ is still trying to recover from Sunday’s return of The Walking Dead and the fact that the team will never be the same again without Glen and Abraham, it seems that AMC had been conflicted over who Negan would claim with his blood thirsty baseball bat, Lucille.

In the episode the makers of the show surprised the comic fans by having Negan kill Abraham with Lucille in a grizzly, yet strangely defiant, death scene. Fans drew in breath as in the comics fan favourite Glen was the one who died. However, the gory fun was just beginning….

After killing Abraham, Daryl couldn’t stand (or kneel) by and lashed out at Negan, punching him in the face… Negan deemed that Daryl was too good to kill as he could be useful in the future – either as a hostage or a henchman – and without any warning killed Glen in a sickeningly accurate to the comics scene that even the toughest of us here found gruelling.

However it seems that AMC was either considering killing Maggie instead of Abraham – we have no doubt that Glen was always going to die and the first death was to throw of the fans before dealing the goods – OR they filmed it to confuse any spies on set.

Either way, had Maggie died, given that she was pregnant with Glen’s baby, it would have been a devastating blow to the fans and the show.

No-one knows where the leak came from but it’s right here for your viewing pleasure. (Keep scrolling for another Walking Dead treat…)

In case you thought that it might be easier watching the murder of Abraham and Glen if they were LEGO characters, may we just tell you, it isn’t…
