We finally have a trailer for Marvel’s live-action She-Hulk series and it’s, well, it’s a mixed bag.
Firstly, the good. Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk looks like a lot of fun; the series has got the humour of the comics and will fit in the MCU just fine.
It’s fun to see Mark Ruffalo back as Hulk who will likely have a big part to play in the creation of the new character. On top of this, after seeing Abomination return in Shang-Chi, we now see Tim Roth back as Emil Blonsky, reprising his role from The Incredible Hulk movie starring Edward Norton and yes, that’s the prison we glimpsed in the gladiator battle in Shang-Chi. It also seems Benedict Wong is back as Wong… likely tying in, again, to Shang-Chi.
And wait, was that Frogman?!
As for the bad, well, frankly, the CGI looks dire. Now, there’s certainly a chance that there’s time to improve on it between now and release and we really hope they do.
Anyway, check it out below and let us know if you plan on tuning in.
She-Hulk kicks off on Disney+ on August 17th, 2022.
