Wanna meet some of the players in Star Wars: Resistance? Sure you do…
Lucasfilm and Entertainment Weekly released a new video today introducing many of the main characters on Star Wars Resistance, known collectively as Team Fireball. The video features interviews with series stars Christopher Sean (Kazuda Xiono), Scott Lawrence (Jarek Yeager), Suzie McGrath (Tam Ryvora), and Josh Brenner (Neeku), as well as several key members of the crew including series creator Dave Filoni, Executive Producer Athena Portillo, Supervising Director Justin Ridge, and Head Writer Brandon Auman. Plus we meet Team Fireball who, we reckon, will be running into the red pilot a lot… Red Barron, anyone? Is there a Biggles in here?
If there’s something that looks pretty obvious from the footage, it’s definitely aimed at the younger demographic so aside from it being aired at 10pm it makes perfect sense.
Star Wars Resistance premieres October 7th at 10pm on Disney Channel and stars Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives), Suzie McGrath (East Enders), Scott Lawrence (Legion), Myrna Velasco (Elena of Avalor), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Donald Faison (Scrubs), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Jim Rash (Community) and Rachel Butera (Tammy’s Tiny Tea Time). The series is executive produced by Dave Filoni Athena Portillo, Justin Ridge, and Brandon Auman.
Star Wars Resistance, which premieres on October 7th at 10pm on the Disney Channel, tells the story of Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono and his adventures reporting on the First Order while undercover as a racer. The series will feature Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie, reprising their roles from the films, as Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, respectively. Rachel Butera will also provide the voice of General Leia, while Donald Faison plays Hype Fazon, Jim Rash plays Flex, Bobby Moynihan plays Orka, and Myrna Velasco plays Torra Doza.
