WATCH: New trailer and poster for Luke Cage season 2 hit hard

May 7th, 2018 by Marc Comments

I’m not going to lie, I’ve fallen away from the Netflix Marvel shows – the wheels came off at Iron Fist for me and I’ve not watched any since as none apart from The Punisher really seem like they’re for me.

However…

I did enjoy season one of Luke Cage (although I felt it real for at least three episodes too long, as is a complaint I have with all Netflixs shows to one degree or other) and this looks like it could be well worth watching.

Mike Colter is back as Cage along with the always fantastic Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard and also returning is Simone Missick as Misty Knight, this time with rob-arm:

Although the big addition this season is new villain Bushmaster played by Mustafa Shakir.

In the comics Bushmaster is the result of an experiment similar to the one that created Cage’s superpowers, so the conflict could certainly be a welcome addition to the formula.

Oh and Roasario Dawson is back as Claire Temple- we always love to see Dawson in the credits of anything.

Luke Cage is back.

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Luke Cage season 2 arrives on Netflix on June 22nd.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
