WATCH: Second trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch animated series looks pretty damned great

A new trailer has dropped for Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

And, I must admit, while I wasn’t the biggest fan of the characters in The Clone Wars nor of the show’s first trailer, this new one certainly grabbed my attention… especially when Captain Rex turned up.

I’m also very interested in the kid, Omega, and wonder if she is tied into the Mark Omega imperial project name-dropped in Rogue One: A Star Wars.

And with a 70 minute special dropping on May 4th and the next episode appearing on May 7th and every week thereafter, there’s going to be plenty of animated Star Wars to enjoy next month.

Check out the brand-new trailer for Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” an original animated series launching exclusively on Disney+.

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” makes its debut on Tuesday, May 4, with a special 70-minute premiere, followed by new episodes every Friday starting on May 7. “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War.

Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
