We finally have a teaser for Dexter prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin.
Speaking at SDCC earlier this year, star of the original Dexter series, Michael C Hall, said of the series set in the 90s: “We just felt like there was more to explore. I think we’ve all been really amazed at how fertile the soil of ‘Dexter’ remains.”
The series features and all-new cast including Patrick Gibson as Dexter Morgan and Christian Slater as Harry Morgan, Dexter’s father who teaches him to direct his murderous tendencies towards people who deserve to die; it also features a host of new and old characters (played by new actors) oh, and Hall will play the young Dexter’s internal monologue, which is actually pretty clever.

Of course, while you’re here, don’t forget that Hall himself will be returning for a new Dexter series in 2025 called Dexter: Resurrection which will pick up immediately after 2022’s Dexter: New Blood which saw him shot and left for dead in the cold snow of Iron Lake, New York but it seems he wasn’t as dead as everyone assumed, with Hall saying: “I don’t know what I am authorised to say other than, it’s really cold out there.”
What a time to be a Dexter fan, huh? It’s just that, with two really disappointing endings already in the bag for the character, it’s hard not to worry that we might not eventually have four disappointing endings.

Set in 1991 Miami, Dexter: Original Sin follows Dexter (Patrick Gibson) as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness.
With the guidance of his father, Harry (Golden Globe® winner Christian Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
