The Leftovers is pretty high concept idea, based on Tom Perotta’s book, it follows the survivors after two percent of the population disappear in the event the Bible calls the Rapture (em, wasn’t this the concept of This Is the End? – Ed).
And, let’s be honest, if there’s anyone who likes a bit of high concept, it’s Lost and Prometheus writer and producer Damon Lindeloff. The show itself kicks off on June 15th… consider us… enthralled
Synopsis
The Leftovers revolves around the Rapture and follows a group of people who are left behind in the suburban community of Mapleton. They must begin to rebuild their lives after the sudden and mysterious disappearance of more than 100 people.
