Yes! The teaser has arrived for the Ted series from Peacock and it looks great!
Seeing the return of Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane as the voice of the animated bear, the series will not have Mark Wahlberg as it takes place in the 90s, long before John grew to look like Wahlberg and was still just a young boy… though I really don’t think it’s going to mean the humour isn’t as adult-themed as it was in the two movies that came before.
Personally, I find MacFarlane’s humour to be [mostly] hilarious, so this is on my must-watch list for next year.
Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Bluesky, Truth, Tumblr, Threads & Mastodon!
In this comedic prequel event series to the Ted films, it’s 1993, and Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed.
He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham).
Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.
Ted is streaming January 11th on Peacock
