October 12th, 2018 by Marc Comments

Titans drops sometime today on DC Universe – sorry if you’re outside the US but it’ll arrive later for you guys – and before it does, they have a little giggle at Deadpool.

Again.

Remember in the Deadpool 2 trailer when Deadpool has the funny jibe about how dark DC movies are (it’s at the bottom of the page if you don’t)? Well, it has started something that it, frankly, beautiful as can be seen in the clip below.

The first one if the latest one from Titans in the show’s new trailer and the rest are just where’s it all coming from.

And we love it!

From Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Titans is one of the all-new exclusive original live-action series coming soon to DC UNIVERSE. It comes from executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.

In the action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Fans can expect the series to be a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson/Robin, Teagan Croft (Home and Away) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Koriand’r/Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) & Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Hawk and Dove, Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder, and Lindsey Gort as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach.

Titans will premiere on October 12 on DC Universe.

Of course, this isn’t the first time DC have had a joke at Deadpool’s expense:

And of course, it all started when Deadpool threw shade – isn’t that what the kids say? – at DC first:

So we think this is all in good humour and, honestly, in a culture that is more and more becoming hostile towards anyone who does;t love what you love, we think this is a good thing and we totally embrace it.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
