OK, this looks like a whole lot of fun!

The series no-one could have predicted looks like it’s going to be well worth checking out as a young Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), Bruce Wayne/Batman’s loyal butler is a young man back from the SAS who meets a young Thomas Wayne as they both fall into a world of conspiracy and intrigue.

And Bannon is definitely channeling a young Michael Caine in this trailer and I love it.

DC fans need something to fill their time with now hit series Gotham has drawn to a close, so how about a spin-off series all about Batman’s right-hand man, Alfred Pennyworth?

Could this be the DC answer to Agent Carter? Well, I have to be honest, it looks more fun that Carter sadly ever managed (Man, I miss Hayley Atwell) and I can’t wait to meet a young Alfred and Thomas.

What do you all say?

The 10-episode, hour-long drama series from Warner Horizon Scripted Television is based on DC characters created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger. It follows Bruce Wayne’s legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier in his 20s, who forms a security company and goes to work with a young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), who’s not yet Bruce’s father, in 1960s London.
