So, if you’ve been wondering what Halloween is all about this year without Stranger Things, don’t worry… Netflix has you.

The trailer has landed for The Haunting of Hill House, a new series based on  Shirley Jackson‘s iconic novel, The Haunting of Hill House  which inspired the two The Haunted movies in  1963 and 1999 and this 10-episode series is directed by Hush, Oculus and Gerald’s Game helmer Mike Flanagan.

Check out the trailer below… it’s pretty intense stuff.

The Haunting of Hill House is a complex family drama wrapped in a chilling horror story…

A modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson‘s iconic novel, “The Haunting of Hill House” explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past — some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.

Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel and Victoria Pedretti star, along with Lulu Wilson, McKenna Grace, Paxton Singleton, Violet McGraw and Julian Hilliard.

Trevor Macy serves as executive producer alongside Flanagan. Meredith Averill acts as co-showrunner and executive producer. Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank exec produce.

“The Haunting of Hill House” is produced for Netflix by Amblin TV and Paramount Television.

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
