WATCH: WandaVision star Paul Bettany reveals who the big guest star appearance in the season finale is…

March 4th, 2021 by Marc Comments

Well, this is awkward… and a little funny.

A couple of weeks ago WandaVision star Paul Bettany dropped hints that the final episode of the series – which drops tomorrow – will star an actor (here) that he has wanted to work with for a long time and that he has great chemistry with.

And of course, the internet sleuths went to town… who could it be? Whe has ne not worked with before? Will it be another cameo from the FOX X-Men universe?

Lots of names came up but top of the list was Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange or, even better, Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier. Personally, I was hoping for Michael Fassbender as Magneto, given that he, in the comics, is the father of Wanda and Pietro.

But then last week – SPOILERS – we saw that White Vision teased for the finale…

And suddenly, we all started thinking… he wouldn’t have meant himself, would he? I mean, it’s likely that Vision will meet White Vision in the episode.

But, nah, he wouldn’t have? Would he?

Well, in an new interview with Good Morning America, the star admits that that is exactly what he did and he looked quite sheepish, asking… “you know when you think something is going to be funny and you say it?”

He then added: “They were guessing people like Benedict Cumberbatch or Patrick Stewart, I was thinking, ‘God, that’s a good idea’, they’re gonna be so disappointed when they find out it’s me.”

Honestly, I find this very funny and I can certainly see it being a simply poor choice of comment… but part of me also thinks he’s still hiding something..

Anyway, watch the clip below and let me know what you all think… will we get a cool new cameo in tomorrow’s episode? Let me hear those opinions and theories.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
