We admit we were late to the party as Stan Against Evil had already aired the first two seasons before we found -and fell in love with it.

But never-the-less, found it we did. And it was glorious.. the perfect mix of Evil Dead mixed with Scrubs and just a touch of Buffy The Vampire Slayer in there for good measure.

Well now we have more good news as the show’s official Facebook page has announced that the series has been given a third season and it will see the harsh light of day this coming Fall sometime.

You can watch the who announcement below featuring stars John C McGinley, Janet Varney and creator/star Dana Gould.

There’s not much detail given but just knowing Stan is still out there protecting us all is enough sometimes.

John C. McGinley (Scrubs) stars as the title character, who ends up in a reluctant partnership with his replacement as sheriff (You’re the Worst and the Legend of Korra’s Janet Varney), when they discover a plague of unleashed demons is haunting their town. Stan Against Evil is created by standup comedian and former Simpsons writer Dana Gould.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
