Wildcat to be Played by J.R. Ramirez on Arrow

July 29th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

Days after we learned that both Wildcat and Ra’s al Ghul would appear in the upcoming season of Arrow, we have casting on who will be Wildcat in the show.

J.R. Ramirez, according to Deadline, will be playing the iconic DC character. Apparently, Wildcat aka Ted Grant will “be a former boxer who now runs a gym for underprivileged youth. A man with a mysterious past, he will play a pivotal role in Laurel Lance’s arc this season.”

Many know Wildcat as a member of the Justice Society of America, who were the superheroes that came before the Justice League. As time went on, Wildcat became a trainer to many a hero, including Batman and…yes, Black Canary.

Will we see Laurel truly become the Black Canary? And if so, what happens to Sara? And what about Wildcat? Will we see a glimpse of the JSA in Arrow? So many questions, and hopefully many answers will be given when Season 3 of Arrow premieres Oct. 8th!
