Cameron Monaghan poses with his lightsaber, sparking fans’ hopes for live-action appearance

Some very cool news for fans of Star Wars, Jedi: Fallen Order as actor Cameron Monaghan has posed for images promoting the arrival of his character, Cal Kestis’ lightsaber now being available at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort.

In a recent poll, fans voted for Kestis’ saber to become the next one available at the park, sporting the familiar broken end from the game. The hilt was made available at Dok-Ondar’s on March 25, 2022.

Those familiar with Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order will recognize the broken end design since Cal Kestis acquires the lightsaber after the weapon is damaged and is only capable of emitting a single blade. When you purchase this distinct lightsaber hilt, it comes with a dual lightsaber adapter, so you can recreate the original double-bladed design reminiscent of when the lightsaber was owned by Cal’s Master, Jaro Tapal, when you purchase a second hilt.

While exploring Batuu, Monaghan traveled to Black Spire Outpost and met with the Gatherers at Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers to construct his very own lightsaber. Guests can make reservations to assemble their very own lightsabers.

As well as the images of the young star holding that lightsaber as he does in the game, the images have certainly sparked fans’ interest and have us all wondering if or when we’ll see him step into the live-action Star Wars universe – after all, we have heard rumours he was spotted on set during filming of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, although he wasn’t believed to be filming.

But surely, with Kestis’ popularity and his character being alive around the Kenobi time period, it’s only a matter of time before we see him make his stand against the Empire… on the big – or small – screen?

Will you be buying the hilt and would you like to see Kestis realised in live-action? Let me know all your thoughts, guys.
