Teen faces jail sentence after League of Legends argument

July 5th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Texas teenager Justin Carter (above) faces eight years in jail after comments he made on facebook after a game of league of legends.

Justin was having a argument with someone during the game which spilled onto facebook where he made a comment referencing a school shooting.

Jack Carter, Justin’s Father, told KVUE that “Someone on facebook made the comment ‘Oh you’re insane, you’re crazy, you’re messed up in the head,’” to which carter replied with ‘Oh yeah, I’m real messed up in the head, I’m going to go shoot up a school full of kids and eat their still, beating hearts.’

A woman from Canada saw the argument and did a Google search to find out his address where she discovered that he lived near a school, she then called the police and later that day Justin was arrested.

If Justin is found guilty then he will face eight years in prison as a part of the anti-terrorism law, however his friends and family have launched a petition to get him released.
