Get ready for the new daily show

Xander Berkeley’s The Walking Dead character sounds A LOT like Negan but isn’t Negan. Apparently.

Xander Berkeley, probably best known to Terminator 2 and 24 fans, has signed on for a major, long-term character on The Walking Dead.

Who’s not Negan.

Honestly.

In truth, he’s probably not… but we’re excited to have him on the show anyway.

His character, according to TVLine, has a name that is being kept under wraps and “does share some of the same characteristics as Negan. Namely his narcissism, huge ego and self-preservation. He’s also said to relish the superiority that comes with being in control, but he plays it off with a car salesman-type charm.”

He sure as  hell sounds like Negan and, while older than we imagine Negan being, Berkeley certainly has the mannerisms and acting chops for such a role.

He will appear in the second half of the season and he’s already got the option of staying on for Season 7.

What do you think? Are we being duped? Could he be Negan? Or can you see him as someone else from the comics?

Let us know…

The Walking Dead Season Six shambles to our screen on October 11th.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
