Stephen King: Dr Sleep is finally finished

January 25th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Stephen King has announced that Doctor Sleep, his sequel to The Shining, is finally ready for release and will be with us on 24th September this year.

It was originally pushed back for editing purposes. In this follow-up we will meet Dan Torrance, the boy from the first book, the boy with the gift of the Shining. He discovers a group called the Knot who feed off the energy produced by those with the Shining until they torture them to death. When he discovers a girl with the brightest Shining he has ever seen, the battle begins for all their souls.

It seems radically different to the Shining which is great rather than a return to the hotel. From the blurb this promises to be a cracker.

Roll on September.
