JLA #7 is part 4 of 6 (not counting tie-ins) of the Trinity War, and it finds us with things really spiraling out of control. The Leagues have split up, the lines have been drawn, and no one knows who is pulling the strings in the shadows. While this issue is totally packed with suspense and action, I’m afraid it leaves us with more questions than answers!

Geoff Johns and Jeff Lemire are an all star writing team, plain and simple. Normally I’m not a big ‘event’ guy, but I absolutely love this one. JLA #7 has so much going on, it could easily be a big summer blockbuster. Brilliantly, even amidst all the action, they leave just enough to the imagination to keep us coming back for more. Simply put, I’m in this event until the end!

DC has adopted an ‘in-house’ style of art that makes all of their books look really similar. A lot of people are against it, but when it’s done properly, it’s really beautiful to look at. It’s bright, it’s colorful, and it’s clean. The art team on this book could very well draw a book with no words and tell the story without the slightest hiccup.

I love this event. It’s full of edge of your seat suspense and all the action you could ask for. With real human emotion sprinkled in, you have a classic story being told. I can’t wait to see how this ends and what it does to the DCU! (Am I the only one praying that The Question gets his own book out of all of this?) If you’re not reading this event for some reason, I’d highly suggest catching up so you can be a part of something special that’s happening over at DC right now!
