John Carpenter penning a DC Comics Joker one shot

August 8th, 2019 by Geralt of Australia Comments

With DC doing another year of the villain, this year’s Halloween special is set to feature everyone’s favorite villain with a one-shot Joker comic written by Anthony Burch (Borderlands 2) and the legendary John Carpenter (Halloween).

The year of the villains focus is Lex Luthor who has been going around recruiting villains for nefarious purposes. In a synopsis written by John Carpenter he has this to say about the upcoming one shot:

This put The Joker on a mission to get his swagger back in a world gone bad bu out-badding everyone else, proving that the greatest evil is always the one that leaves them laughing.

Which at the end of the day is all you want from The Joker, a good laugh, and maybe a few dead along the way.

The pair have previously worked together on Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack, so it should be interesting to see what the pair can do with someone as iconic as The Joker, and with John Carpenter also in the writers chair I’m hoping that this one can bring the same horror feel that he brought to the Halloween movies and The Thing.
