Marvel adaptation reveals Rogue One: A Star Wars Story deleted scenes

September 24th, 2017 by Marc Comments

If there was one thing we all knew about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story before it was released, it was that many scenes originally filmed were changed or cut.

And now, thanks to Marvel’s comic adaptation, we get a taste of some of them, the best of them having Jyn meeting Princess Leia and another fleshing out Saw Gerrera’s character. Others include:

·  Galen Erso asking Bodhi to join the Rebellion

·  Jyn’s escape from her cell in Wobani

·  Saw Gerrera’s role is fleshed out

·  Jyn and Leia meet during a flashback

·  More details of Galen’s time working for the Empire

·  Bodhi and K-2SO bonding

·  And more…

Check out the video below from the Star Wars Explained Youtube channel. It’s well worth a watch…

Check out all the new scenes revealed by the Rogue One comic adaptation that includes moments not shown in the film. These scenes include all new original scenes, some expanded moments from Catalyst and the Rogue One novelization, and some based on notes from director Gareth Edwards, all written and adapted by Jody Houser. Art by Emilio Laiso, Oscar Bazaldua, Fernando Blanco, and Paolo Vilanelli. Covers by Phil Noto.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
