But hang on a minute, what on earth is a ‘Nerf’? And how does one become a ‘Nerf herder’? These are questions that have, until now, alluded us but thanks to Disney we now know exactly what Leia was on about!
Star Wars comic book #17 tells the story of Luke and Han as they set off on an adventure to gather supplies for the Rebellion.
Of course, something was bound to go wrong and this time it just so happens that Han manages to squander all of their cash gambling in a game of Sabaac. So how will he earn all their pennies back? Do what Han Solo knows best – smuggle.
That’s where Nerfs come in. A Nerf is an animal that looks something like a Yak. Can you imagine the smell on board the Falcon?! Anyway, the Nerfs are being tracked by the Empire which of course then open fire on the Falcon.
Well, we know that they make it back but let’s just say that Leia isn’t exactly ready to welcome them back with open arms and can you really blame her? Whilst they’ve been swanning off round the galaxy she was the one left behind to try and figure out how on earth to lead the Rebellion.
So you see, it all becomes so clear once you piece together the rest of the puzzle.
