With filming in full swing in Montreal, Canada, X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer and stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Shawn Ashmore recently attended a hockey game in town. Singer posted an image on Twitter from the Montreal Canadiens showing the Following actor wearing a hockey jersey with his name on it among other members of the cast. The actor responded: “Thrilled to be X-Man.”
To a separate tweet asking about his next project, he said: “I might turn into a ball of fire if someone p*sses me off.”
So he could be playing the Brazilian mutant Roberto da Costa, aka Sunspot, or perhaps an alternate version of the Japanese mutant Shiro Yoshida, Sunfire. Sunfire is Japanese so unless they change cannon, which they have done before, I’d bet on Sunspot but he did say ball of fire?
What do you think?
