Could we see Agents of SHIELD and The Inhumans crossover on the small screen?
Well yes, but don’t expect it anytime soon, according to SHIELD showrunner Jed Whedon.
During a recent press event, the producer revealed that both shows exist in the same universe but it may take a while before they could potential interact.
“Without being able to say anything really about that show [The Inhumans], it will have its own world, just as we tried to start our own world. Whether or not there’s a crossover, we will see,” he said.
“Everything is connected, and that’s fun to play with. But the point of our show is to be our show, and we want our fans to be rewarded for watching it without having to watch everything else. But we also want there to be a bigger reward for people who watch all of them, so that they’ll start to see that there’s lines connecting it. It’s more fun for people who are playing the whole game, but if you don’t, you’ll still have a great rollercoaster ride.”
The question was raised as The Inhumans is set to premiere in IMAX theaters and on ABC in September whilst Agents of SHIELD is currently finishing up its fourth season.
