A few weeks ago, we started to hear names about potential directing candidates for Marvel Studios’ long-planned Doctor Strange film. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that they were indeed looking, but dismissed the names mentioned in the report. Now The Hollywood Reporter‘s Borys Kit has taken to Twitter not only to add another name to the mix but to say only two of the original four names are currently in contention for the job.
The two that are still in the hunt are Brave director Mark Andrews and 50/50 and Warm Bodies director Jonathan Levine. The new name mentioned is Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose director Scott Derrickson.
Who would you like to see helm Doctor Strange?
No release date has been set, but Marvel has three placeholder dates set for unnamed films on May 6 and July 8, 2016 and on May 5, 2017.
