Warner Bros assemble a fantastic cast to bring back The Adventures of Superman radio series at DC Fandome

September 8th, 2020 by Marc Comments

So, DC Fandome was a couple of weeks ago now and it was a big hit with fans, dropping details, footage and trailers for The Batman, Justice League: The Snyder Cut, The Suicide Squad and more (all our coverage can be found here), but it ain’t over yet as this weekend we get to go into the Fandome again to explore the Multiverse.

Word is the event will have more cool reveals and will focus on the TV shows of the DC Universe as well as the fans and their love of the universe and, on top of that, it looks like it all drops at once this Saturday with the panels and events all available for fans to navigate as they please.

And, of course, we’ll keep you up-to-date on all the news and fun right here on FTN.

However, one thing we are excited for the return of the 1940s Superman Radio Serials as Warner Bros and The Creative Coalition will bring the classic The Adventures of Superman radio series.

But even better is the cast.

Three actors will play Clark Kent/Superman: Star Trek Discovery’s Wilson Cruz, Lost’s Daniel Dae Kim and Superman: The Animated Series’ Tim Daly.

But that’s not all. The cast also includes: Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars), Erich Bergen (Madam Secretary), Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Lea DeLaria (Orange Is the New Black), Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian), Jason Isaacs (Star Trek: Discovery), Richard Kind (American Dad), Eric McCormack (Will and Grace), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), CCH Pounder (NCIS: New Orleans), Anthony Rapp (Star Trek: Discovery), Yolonda Ross (Black Lightning),  Tony Shalhoub (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Henry Winkler (Barry), Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage), and several others.

The new series will bring to life previously lost adventures recently found by Warner Brothers.

The radio shows were and integral part of the Superman mythology, introducing elements before the comics such as Perry White, Jimmy Olsen and Kryptonite. They also had the first ever superhero team-ups as Batman appeared too, so it’s true to say these are important to the fans and we can’t wait to see/hear them.

For all this and much, much more visit the official site now and check back in with us on September 12th as we give you all the content in one place!
