A scant 3 days ago we told you about the challenge issued by American fighting robot manufacturer Megabot Inc to their competitors, Japanese company Suidobashi Heavy Industry .
Well Suidobashi founder Kogoro Kurata has issued a response laden with a surprising amount of smack talk
“Come on guys, make it cooler. Just building something huge and sticking guns on it. It’s … Super American.”
He didn’t stop the smack talk there, he wants melee combat to be part of the rules because:
“I want to punch them into scrap metal and knock them down to do it”
This is unexpectedly strong talk coming from the Japanese company, it really sounds like they’re up for a proper fight!

While no venue has been declared, given that the challenge was issued for next year it’s likely to be at the American Maker Faire where Megabot MK II debuted this year. It’s going to be one hell of a ding dong!
