Giant Robots To Duel in Real life?

Megabots Inc. could be described as a company filled with optimistic lunatics, they built the first full-scale mech with integrated weapons system which can be piloted by a team of two.The reason, besides the obvious cool factor in building a giant fighting robot is to compete in a currently non existent giant robot fighting league.

However they have a giant robot production competitor in Japan who they credit with beating them to creating the first piloted mech..

Suidobashi Heavy Industry threw their hat in the ring in the form of the Mighty Kuratas, 900lb single pilot fighting machine with a snazzy heads up display, a control system straight out of a science fiction movie and of course a Gatling gun. It has already featured as guard in some of Japan’s “real escape” game shows

So they have a giant piloted robot, Megabots have a giant piloted robot, it seemed obvious to Megabots what needed to happen next! I’ll be interested to see if the lighter, more manoeuvrable but comparatively lightly armed Kuratas will be able to press that advantage against the slower moving but totally tooled up  American style Megabot Mark 2.
