Marvel’s Agent Carter TV series gets a pair of showrunners

January 18th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

ABC Entertainment Group president Paul Lee has announced that Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, co-creators of Reaper, have come aboard Marvel’s next TV project, Agent Carter as showrunners.

Spinning out of the Marvel One-Shot short film included on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray, Agent Carter  takes place one year after Captain America: The First Avenger.

Lee also revealed that the Agent Carter script, written by Captain America duo Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, is “good” and added:

That certainly has a good chance to be on the network,”

Following the session Lee also confirmed that Atwell, long rumored to be attached to the project, would indeed be a part of the potential series.

Butters and Fazekas have also worked on Terra Nova, Hawaii Five-0, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and even Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse.

As for now, though, the ABC Studios/Marvel Entertainment project is merely in development and has not yet been ordered to pilot.
