Spoilers for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Agents of Shield ahead! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!!!!…..!!!!
Ok, so if you STILL don’t know, the events of the Winter Soldier have spilled over into Marvel’s Agents of Shield. Mainly that Hydra has been a part of Shield since the beginning and now has come from the shadows to try and take everything over, and very few Shield agents are left standing.
The end of Winter Soldier saw the big guns of Shield walking away or straight up leaving the intelligence agency for one reason or another. Chief among them Nick Fury and Maria Hill. Some may find it curious that they “left” so easily while Coulson and crew are fighting for survival. Well it appears we’ll get some answers soon.
Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson will reprise their roles of Maria Hill and Nick Fury respectively in some of the final episodes of Season 1 of Agents of Shield. Maria Hill will return for the April 29th episode, and Nick Fury will return for the season finale. Take each as you will.
What this will mean for future returns is still up in the air. Especially for Hill, who would be….*ahem*….lying…if she said she didn’t find a new job rather quickly. All in all, it’ll be good to see them back so soon after their appearances in the movies, as it’ll lend more credence to the crossover event currently taking place.
