RUMOR: Assassin’s Creed Comet will let players sail up and down the Atlantic coast

March 29th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Last week shared a report by Kotaku about Assassin’s Creed Unity, saying the game was set in and around the French revolution and planned to release exclusively on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Ubisoft quickly confirmed that report with a teaser trailer only days later.

The other part of that story was about second game called Assassin’s Creed Comet.

The sources described the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game as a cross between Assassin’s Creed III and the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Players will be able to visit New York City among other east coast destinations.

The main protagonist of the game is allegedly a Templar named Shay. In his travels he’ll run into Connor Kenway’s first-mate-turned-Assassin Adewale and Kenway’s son Haytham, among other fictional and historical figures.

Comet and Unity are both reportedly planned for release in 2014.

Kotaku haven’t been able to confirm all of the above, so some may be be speculation on the part of their sources.

The art shown above is of the first Assassin’s Creed game, not Comet.
