Last week, Ben Kingsley made some waves when he revealed he’d filmed a “secret project” for Marvel. Kingsley was seemingly done with his role as the Mandarin in Iron Man 3, but this new information brought up some interesting possibilities for the character.
Well now, there seems to be new information on the “secret project.” It seems it’s a One-Shot after all. The rest of it can be considered spoilers and contains spoilers for Iron Man 3 as well.
According to Latino Review, Kingsley will reappear at Trevor Slattery, the actor who “played” The Mandarin in Iron Man 3. However, the real Mandarin, (yes that’s right) the real Mandarin is mad at the ruse created by both Trevor and Aldrich Killian (supposedly the real Mandarin of Iron Man 3), and the mockery that was made of his legacy. If the rumor is true, that means Marvel is about to add a real Mandarin to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But when would this One-Shot appear? The most likely be place would be on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray, but that’s just a guess.
