RUMOR: Episode VII to be titled A New Dawn?

September 8th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr 2 Comments

So we have our first rumored title for Star Wars: Episode VII. According to website Talk backer via Jedi News it will be called:

 A New Dawn.

At first glance it does seem to be made up rather than official, but the site quotes a source as saying:

there will be many potential titles by now, but yes that is a title I have heard mentioned. So do with that what you will.”

Either way, it’s a simple, classic title that could cover any number of things. A new Jedi Order? A new Republic? The Sith? The Empire? It could almost mean anything.

It does seem to invoke the charm of the original films doesn’t it? It immediately makes me think of A New Hope. It was also making it’s way around the web last year.

In other news they report that:

“… yes the falcon will make a big appearance, 1.1 scale size cross section is being constructed over at Pinewood, along with a power plant set and the famous cantina.”

So I guess that means Han Solo is indeed back then, and if they are building the famous cantina set from Episode IV, then that means Tatooine will be a location in the film as well.

So what do you think of A New Dawn possibly being the title to Episode VII?

Star Wars: Episode: VII, scheduled for a 2015 release will be directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Michael Arndt.
