Almost since Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm the rumors have been running rampant. This latest batch comes courtesy of Jedi News’ source, who goes by Jedi Master SLQ. Apparently he has some info on not only casting rumors, but a potential teaser trailer date, and the film’s release date.
Jedi News is reporting that the first major casting announcement will come on October 23rd. It seems that Harrison Ford has requested that announcements be held back until after he is done his world press junket for Ender’s Game, so that he won’t be faced with Star Wars questions at every turn. A non live teaser trailer, similar to the style of Star Wars Rebels will drop on April 4, 2014. This just so happens to also be the day that Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released and will also be the first official reveal of Episode VII’s release date of November 11, 2015.
As always these are just rumors until confirmed. It’s worth mentioning that Jedi News were the first to report that the Millennium Falcon was at Pinewood, which many other sites picked up afterward.
Star Wars: Episode: VII, scheduled for a 2015 release will be directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Michael Arndt.
